Frequently asked questions
Fair question! Here’s what makes me different:
I’m a people-first advisor who loves the numbers, too. Many advisors focus solely on the technical side of financial planning, but I believe your financial decisions should reflect who you are and what matters most to you. I bring both the human connection and the technical expertise to the table.
I approach money with a Kingdom mindset. For me, financial planning isn’t about chasing performance or maximizing complexity—it’s about abundance, stewardship, and thoughtful decision-making that aligns with your values.
I’m a deep listener. Some advisors might jump straight into solutions without fully understanding your story. I take the time to listen—not just to your words but to what’s between the lines—so we can uncover what truly matters to you.
I bring a unique business perspective. My career has been shaped by small business culture, starting with my grandmother’s and mother’s women-led business. I understand the challenges and joys of entrepreneurial life because I’ve lived it.
I’ve pursued rigorous education. Beyond industry licensing, I’ve completed a master’s-level education in financial planning. While some advisors rely solely on experience or cookie-cutter solutions, I combine academic insight with practical wisdom to guide you.
I help you apply wisdom practically. Financial advice can often get tripped up by real life. I know the biases we all tend to carry, and I’ll gently help you spot those moments so you can make decisions that truly serve you.
I specialize in service-based families and entrepreneurs. Unlike advisors who might prioritize high-net-worth clients or focus on complex portfolios, I work with people who value time, relationships, and simplicity over complexity for its own sake.
I practice what I teach. I embrace limits—including how many clients I serve—so I can give each one my full attention and care. You’ll never feel like just another number.
I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all planning. Some advisors rely on cookie-cutter rules of thumb, but I’m here to co-create a plan that fits your story and serves your vision.
If this sounds like what you’re looking for, I’d be honored to walk with you on this journey.
I take a human-first approach to financial planning. My goal is to help you align your financial decisions with your values so that every step forward feels intentional and meaningful.
I blend my background in engineering and systems thinking with coaching and active listening to create personalized plans rooted in simplicity, sustainability, and clarity. I believe money is a tool for living well and helping others do the same—and that an abundance mindset often reveals more possibility than we first see.
My approach is heavily influenced by trusted financial voices like Nick Murray, Dave Ramsey, Carl Richards, and Michael Kitces (just to name a few). As well as biblical wisdom from Bible Project and books like The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry and To Hell with the Hustle. I don’t just follow a framework—I walk with you, tailoring each step to your life, your goals, and what matters most.
I believe simple is smart. When it comes to investing, I focus on strategies that are clear, intentional, and built with the long term in mind. My approach blends both passive and active investments, with a tilt toward passively structured strategies. Here’s what I emphasize:
Diversification: Spreading investments across different companies, industries, regions (etc.) to reduce risk.
Smart Risk Selection: Taking calculated risks that align with your goals and comfort level.
Low-Cost, Tax-Efficient ETFs and Mutual Funds: Keeping costs low so more of your money works for you.
Behavior-Focused, Long-Term Investing: Staying steady and focused on the big picture, even when markets fluctuate.
I’ve been deeply influenced by the wisdom of Dave Ramsey, Nick Murray, Carl Richards’, Michael Kitces, and Dimensional Fund Advisor's research on markets and investing. These voices have shaped my belief that your behavior over time matters far more than trying to time the market or pick the “perfect” investment.
Ultimately, I believe that investing isn’t just about numbers—it’s about aligning your financial decisions with your values and creating a life of meaning and abundance.
